Billy is sitting with his back to the door staring into his flapping hand.
The room is a shambles. Among the debris of the model railway a light
flickers in the stain glass window of the replica church.

Mrs. Lynes is saying goodnight to KERR while PRIEST walks towards lift

KERR
Once again I’m sorry about the break down in communications.

MRS. LYNES
It’s not your fault Mr. Kerr and I appreciate all that you’ve done for Billy
this year.

KERR
You’ve got my number. I’ll be around for the next few weeks so please don’t
hesitate to call me if I can be of any help.

PRIEST
Lift arriving.

MRS. LYNES
He’s quiet now that’s my main concern. He must be exhausted from the
journey. None of us know whats further down the line, do we? Goodnight Mr.

KERR
(calling)
Goodnight Father

PRIEST
(steeping into lift)
God Bless

Int. lift. Night
A young couple are locked in a passionate embrace. Throughout the scene
Priest glances over his shoulder at them with a mix of longing and disgust.

PRIEST
So what was it that he found so disturbing in, eh, Scandinavia?

KERR
I still trying to work it out.

PRIEST
Do you really believe that anybody can work out what that boy is thinking.
Not even his mother has a clue. The boy talks and thinks in gibberish.

KERR
Yes and I’ve spent a long time trying to learn it.
The girl in the background has become aware of PRIEST’s covetous glances. She
wriggles her tongue at him suggestively.

GIRL
Go fuck a nun!
