Dreamlike pre-title sequence....Norway ..on a bridge over torrential river
between high snowcapped mountains...train rushes towards camera which is down
between the lines and thunders over it / cut from underbelly of train to
aisle between train seats where Billy Lynes is kneeling with his ear pressed
to the floor finishing on c/u Billy’s anxious face.

The sequence is orchestrated mixing key musical motif, wild track and
competing voices.

GRANDFATHER
Always listen for the click track Billy.
The click track’s always the same Billy.
Can’t you hear it? Can’t you hear it?

OTHER VOICES (punctuating)

EXT. STREET/CHURCH. DAY.
Taxi pulls up at traffic lights by old church. Billy stares up at the old
church. He sees men on scaffolding pull black polyethylene up to obscure the
distinctive rosette window on the nave.

INT. TAXI. DAY.
BILLY (in the back with KERR) becomes agitated. TAXI driver turns to look at
him.

BILLY
(panic rising)
an excessive smell of petrol. Someone has stolen God's Eye. Is it you Billy?

In the mirror the driver raises his eye brows.

Ext. Flats. DAY.
Taxi pulls up outside the flats. A removal van is parked just ahead and the
pavement is littered with an assortment of furniture and other items. The
removal men are seated casually among the furniture. A group of kids are
playing nearby.

MR. KERR (paying driver))
Can you wait for me. I shouldn’t be long.

Kerr gets bag out but Billy refuses to move. Billy is looking at removal men.

MR. KERR
(coaxing)
Come on Billy, this is your station, Train Train will be wanting to hear all
about your trip.

Driver watches unhelpfully through the glass. The kids come to see what is
happening.
